About the role
The Industrial Automation Journeyman Electrician is responsible for maintaining and repairing complex industrial electrical systems. This role requires a deep understanding of electrical principles and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in industrial settings
- Diagnose and resolve electrical problems using advanced diagnostic tools
- Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe work environment
- Collaborate with other tradespeople to integrate electrical components into larger systems
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an electrician in industrial settings
- Valid journeyman electrician license
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and diagnosing electrical faults
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (preferred)
- Experience with PLCs and automation systems
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety practices
Skills
- Proficient in electrical wiring and installation techniques
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
