Industrial Automation Engineer
About the role
Design, develop, and implement automation solutions for manufacturing processes, including but not limited to, robotics, PLCs, and SCADA systems. Work with cross-functional teams to identify automation solutions that improve efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality. Ensure that automation systems comply with safety regulations, quality standards, and environmental requirements. Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analysis to determine the viability of automation projects.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain documentation for automation systems, including user manuals, technical specifications, and standard operating procedures
- Provide training and support to manufacturing personnel on the use of automation systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve automation system issues and provide technical support as needed for both new and existing equipment
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and advancements, including additive manufacturing, to ensure automation systems are current and relevant
- Collaborate with external vendors and suppliers to leverage their expertise and resources as needed
