Roles And Responsibilities
- Daily handling of heavy equipment, ensuring safe and efficient loading and unloading processes
- Disassembles machines for repair, diagnoses issues, and cleans parts preparing for reassembly
- Assembles machines according to print requirements, ensuring precision and adherence to specifications to meet operational standards
- Measures parts accurately and records values on inspection reports to ensure quality and compliance
- Engages in various hands-on tasks as required by the job, maintaining a proactive and diligent approach
- Adequately adheres to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your team
- Works effectively in a team environment, assisting coworkers with larger projects and ensuring collaborative success
Required Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent, with 1–3 years of hands-on mechanical or assembly experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new technologies
- Previous experience in equipment assembly, rebuilds, or heavy mechanical repair preferred
- Proficiency with wrenches, prybars, high-pressure cleaning equipment, power tools, overhead cranes, and fork trucks
- Ability to read and interpret basic mechanical drawings and prints
- Physically able to work in an industrial shop environment, including lifting and moving heavy parts (with or without assistance)
- Detail-oriented with the ability to take accurate measurements and complete inspection records
- Strong teamwork and communication skills with a commitment to safety
