Industrial Technician

About the role

The Industrial Technician role is located at the TAMKO Frederick facility in Frederick, Maryland. This role involves executing industrial maintenance and troubleshooting services for multiple manufacturing lines.

Responsibilities

• Conduct planned and scheduled maintenance
• Support emergent downtime and troubleshooting
• Provide primary support and execution of mechanical industrial maintenance
• Execute preventative maintenance activities
• Perform component rebuilds as required
• Collaborate with maintenance, operations, and engineering personnel to resolve problems
• Maintain critical environmental and process control systems
• Perform industrial maintenance activities as required, both planned and emergent
• Work on an on-call status as needed
• Work rotating 12-hour shifts, including nights and weekends, and overtime as needed

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Technical Certification or Degree in Industrial Maintenance or related field preferred
• Certified or able to become certified to operate multiple kinds of powered industrial vehicles such as forklifts and man/personnel lifts
• Precision Maintenance or Reliability certifications preferred
• Experience in Electrical System maintenance and basic troubleshooting up to 480V service preferred
• Experience with MIG, TIG, and/or stick welding preferred
• Experience with small crane operation, rigging, and hand signals preferred
• Experience working in SAP or other Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) preferred
• Experience working with computers and being comfortable navigating to and using common Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint required

Physical Requirements/Work Environment

• Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds
• Occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds
• May occasionally lift or move heavier objects with assistance
• Positioning to operate, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and/or maintain heavy plant equipment
• Working around moving mechanical parts, at elevated heights, where dust and fumes could be present in the air, with or in proximity to chemicals, in hot environments, around electrical equipment, and in a loud environment
