Industrial Ammonia Refrigeration Technician

About the role

Responsible for maintaining and repairing industrial ammonia refrigeration systems. Perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues in refrigeration systems
• Perform preventive maintenance checks to prevent system failures
• Follow safety procedures to ensure a safe work environment
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 2 years of experience in refrigeration or related field
• Valid driver’s license
• First aid/CPR certification

Qualifications

• Knowledge of refrigeration systems and components
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Good physical condition to perform manual labor

Skills

• Proficient in using hand tools and power tools
• Experience with refrigerant handling and leak detection
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Pay

• $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
