Indirect Underwriter

Job Summary

This position is hybrid-remote and requires on-site work at our North Austin headquarters.

About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic individual with a passion for fostering productive relationships with auto dealers and delivering exceptional service to all credit union members, prospective members, and lending partners.

Responsibilities

• Aid members with their lending needs, providing information and recommending other Velocity products and services.
• Assist with credit granting processes, including completing necessary documentation and interacting with external parties.
• Train and motivate staff in loans and dealership financing.

Requirements

• Three years of experience in indirect auto financing lending or a related field.
• Proficiency in Excel and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of credit union policies and regulations, procedures, and services, with special knowledge of lending policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Advanced knowledge and experience with auto lending practices preferred.
• Experience in making credit decisions pertaining to loan approvals and denials within a set credit authority.
• Passion for providing outstanding service and a positive attitude.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail.
• Effective time management including the ability to prioritize responsibilities and organize work tasks.
• Ability to train and motivate staff in the area of loans and dealership financing.
