Indirect Procurement Operational Analyst

About the role

The Indirect Procurement Department manages supply activities across all categories of Bass Pro’s indirect spend (e.g., Logistics, Marketing, IT, Facilities). The Operational Analyst supports the department’s software tools that streamline supply management and contract administration.

Responsibilities

• Assists with preparing, routing, and tracking contract documents; uploads completed contracts and metadata into the contract administration module; produces contract-status reports for the organization.
• Supports maintenance of data feeds to the spend analytics module that tracks and classifies all indirect spend; provides first-level analysis on data accuracy and completeness.
• Ensures the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) module stays current by uploading vendor catalogs and item content, and enabling new suppliers and internal users to transact in the tool.
• Places purchase orders for capital goods and/or services to meet organizational requirements.
• Executes “spot buys” as needed to secure non-standard goods and services not included in the core assortment.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in business, supply chain management, or a similar technical discipline.
• One to three years of procurement and/or finance experience.

Skills

• Ability to learn quickly and take direction.

• Affinity for working with technology.
• Reasonable analytical and contract knowledge.
• Effective communication skills.
• Basic understanding of how contracts support business objectives.
• Technical competency, especially in Microsoft Office.
