Indirect Procurement - Operational Analyst

About the Role

The Indirect Procurement Department is responsible for supply management activities across all categories of Bass Pro's indirect spend (e.g., Logistics, Marketing, IT, Facilities). The Operational Analyst supports system and contract administration to enhance the efficiency of procurement processes using a suite of software tools.

Responsibilities

• Assists with preparing, routing, and tracking contract documents.
• Uploads completed contracts and corresponding metadata into the contract administration module.
• Produces reports on contract status for the organization.
• Supports the maintenance of data feeds to the spend analytics module, tracking and classifying all indirect spend.
• Provides first-level analysis on data accuracy and completeness.
• Ensures the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) module is up to date, including uploading vendor catalogs and item content.
• Enables new suppliers and internal users to transact in the P2P tool.
• Assists with placing purchase orders for capital goods and/or services.
• Executes "spot buys" to secure non-standard goods and services not included in the core assortment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in business, supply chain management, or a similar technical discipline.
• One to three years of procurement and/or finance experience.

Skills

• Ability to learn quickly and take direction.
• Operates with a sense of urgency.
• Affinity for working with technology.
• Reasonable analytical and contract knowledge.
• Effective communication skills.
• Basic understanding of how contracts support business objectives.
• Technical competency, especially in Microsoft Office.
