Troubleshoot, Maintain, Operate

Repetitive movement of hands and fingers (i.e., frequent computer use, typing and writing).

Frequent sitting.

Indoor office environment and/or laboratory environment (potential exposure to hazardous chemicals, odors, hot/cold depending on location).

  • Moving items of up to 50 lbs and lifting to a height of 3 to 4 feet is potentially required (frequency by exact position).
  • Extended hours outside.
  • Long hours standing.

Maintain sensitive and confidential information as required by government standards

Interact effectively with peers and supervisors

Experience: Must have an Active Security Clearance

5 years of job related experience

High school diploma or equivalent

Ability to interact effectively with peers and supervisors

Ability to interact appropriately with the public when necessary

Ability to adhere to workplace rules and safety protocols

Experience in working on a military base, extended hours, and in austere locations

Excellent writing and speaking skills

Previous experience in risk management processes, working knowledge of risk reduction strategy and mitigations

Customer service minded, able to understand and capture unique customer needs and convey them to supervisor

Proven experience in ammunition and explosives handling, packaging, transport, and storage

Essential Job Functions

  • Troubleshoot, maintain, operate various US and foreign weapons systems from 60mm - 127mm.
  • Provide highly accurate aerial targets to customers in support of operational assessments, research and development, and testing scenarios.

Support Warfighter Training and Qualification

Support warfighter training and qualification by directly participating in rehearsals, exercises, and other events.

Interface with Customers

Interface with customers in order to determine desired stimulus in test/training environment.

Experience and Skills Required

  • Experience working in a classified government facility with DoD systems
  • Experience in mapping and surveying to accurately set up launch sites, fire azimuths and impact points
  • Mathematical competency to convert units of measurement, both foreign and domestic (e.g.-milliradians, degrees, minutes of angle, meters, miles, decimal degrees)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the principles of indirect fire, trajectories, meteorological effects, fire control, fire commands, and adjusting impacts
  • Experience operating military radio systems and familiar with radio net protocols
  • College education (BS preferred but professional military education may be substituted)
