Essity is looking for an experienced indirect buyer who will be responsible for executing and implementing procurement strategy in the area of responsibility and building sustainable relationships with suppliers. Responsibilities
- Manage risk and lead negotiations for all local categories across locations, using appropriate e-sourcing tools and techniques.
- Ensure appropriate contingency plans are in place in accordance with procurement policies and procedures.
- Align with requester on missing specification and clarify user requirements relating to free‑text requests (one‑time purchases).
- Support Business Partnering to drive continuous improvement through cost‑saving projects, organizing trials, implementing supplier changes and tracking savings.
- Identify suppliers as per the category instructions (preferred supplier list) and execute quick RFQs.
- Ensure compliance with Essity procedures, purchasing policy and financial instructions.
- Deliver Procurement Efficiency.
- Identify and execute saving initiatives.
- Execute and implement procurement strategy in area of responsibility.
- Build sustainable relationships with suppliers.
- Approve supplier request and ensure supplier compliance with local categories.
- Maintain an up‑to‑date source list (Contract/Catalog/Purchase Info Records) for local suppliers.
- Contribute to Procurement Excellence.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with emphasis on business, economics, finance, technical background, procurement, or comparable professional education.
- 3+ years of experience in a similar or adequate role in a procurement environment.
Skills
- Organized and comfortable with ambiguity.
- Able to prioritize and troubleshoot requests.
- Strong communication ability.
- Good project management skillset.
- Ability to demonstrate a strong work ethic.

Pay
Expected compensation: competitive annual salary + annual incentive bonus + benefits. Pay offered may vary depending on knowledge, skills, and experience.
