Who We're Looking For
- PhD candidates, postdoctoral fellows, lecturers, or professors currently affiliated with a top-30 US or top-20 UK university
- Demonstrated independent research output in your field (published papers, conference work, thesis, or equivalent)
- Prior experience teaching, mentoring, or advising students - ideally with undergraduates or high school students
- Genuine interest in working with high schoolers on long-form projects, including the patience required to scaffold college-level work for a pre-college audience
- Cross-cultural fluency, with the ability to communicate effectively with a globally diverse student body
- Steady availability and engagement throughout the mentorship
- Comfortable with two-way feedback, both with students and the program team
About the Role
Mentors guide high school students through scoping, researching, and writing college-level independent research projects, such as literature reviews, research papers, or applied work like apps.
Responsibilities
- Work remotely via video call to guide students through their projects over a multi-month engagement
- Provide consistent guidance and thoughtful feedback to help students develop as young researchers
- Sustain your investment in the student's growth throughout the mentorship
