Independent Verification & Validation (IV&V) Project Manager

As a potential Independent Verification & Validation (IV&V) Project Manager, you will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and collaborate with a talented team of professionals in support of a state client.
Responsibilities
- Provide project support and oversight of State government software development efforts.
- Monitor Scrum teams to ensure software development projects are executed properly.
- Provide oversight of software development activities related to enhancements and maintenance of enterprise software and make recommendations for improvement.
- Prepare and deliver reports and presentations related to the project and findings to client leadership.
- Provide insight on key Agile Discovery, Sprint, and Release activities.
- Monitor projects for risks and issues and report those to the client.
- Support and contribute to written weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc reports.
- Apply advanced thinking to problems with encouragement and support.
- Proactively conduct research into identified and potential client problems.
- Conduct deep review of vendor deliverables for the assigned functional scope area for completeness and correctness.
- Conduct risk assessments to help the client resolve technical issues and/or discrepancies with existing policies and procedures.
- Engage in team’s strategic discussions.
- Support the client and stakeholders in achieving project success.
Qualifications
A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related area is required, although a minimum of eight years of experience will be considered in lieu of a degree. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of experience in Independent Verification and Validation in a large and complex software development environment, as well as experience working in an Agile SDLC environment.
- Minimum five years of experience in Independent Verification and Validation in a large and complex software development environment.
- Preferred previous experience with hands-on software development and/or testing.
- Minimum three years working in an Agile SDLC environment (Scrum, Kanban, Lean Software Development, etc.).
- PMP Certification
- Experience with enterprise software transformation, modernization, including migrations and integrations.
- Familiar with identifying and applying Information Technologies industry standards and best practices.
- Ability to work and meet deadlines independently as well as part of the team.
- Strong people and presentation skills
- Have strong written and oral presentation skills and be able to present ideas in a simple way.
Desired Qualifications
- Based out of or near Austin, TX.
- Experience providing consulting or advisory services to a government client or agency.
- Experience with all phases of the IT Disaster Management Cycle.
- Familiar with challenges associated with Cloud environments, governance, and compliance.

Pay
Greentree adheres to federal, state, and local regulations. This is a Full-Time, Salary, Exempt position. Bonuses: Greentree has an employee referral bonus, as well as employee bonuses based on employee contributions and Greentree’s yearly performance.
