About the role
Bashor Children’s Home is seeking an Independent Living and Vocational Coordinator to join their team. The role involves helping troubled children and their families on the path to stability and success.
Schedule
Tuesday through Saturday - 8:30am to 5pm with one late night 2pm to 10pm

Qualifications and Responsibilities
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Commitment to serving a culturally diverse population
- Commitment to continuous quality improvement
- Make decisions, problem-solve, and manage time effectively
- Accommodate needs of program and clients, including evenings and weekend work hours
- Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive Independent/Vocational Living services plan
- Provide individual and family support and guidance, facilitate groups, and connect formal and informal supports in the community
- For youth in the aftercare program, serve as liaison to placing agents and advocate for the child and family when deemed appropriate by the multi-disciplinary team
- Assist youth in pursuing off-campus employment opportunities

Bashor Children’s Home is a 501-C-3 non-profit child welfare agency affiliated with the United Methodist Church. They provide help for troubled children and their families through residential care, day treatment/alternative education, foster care, and many other services. Bashor has been providing services for over 100 years and works with over 150 children daily from 22 counties and 3 different states.
