Independent Contractors- Carriers

About the Role

Pathmark Transportation is seeking quality independent contractors for local and OTR road positions in our Jackson, MS location. Candidates must own their own truck and authority. We require a 26 FT box truck or day cab tractor. Loading and unloading are required by the customer for delivery routes. A handheld scanner is used to capture data on all cartons, and deliveries must be made within specified windows. You must maintain a steady pace while operating safely and provide a professional, positive experience for our customers.

Responsibilities

• Handle freight up to 70 lbs
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups
• Provide excellent customer service
• Report any issues or discrepancies related to deliveries or equipment promptly

Requirements

• Valid authority for up to 1 year
• Valid insurance that meets company standards
• Own a 26 FT box truck or day cab tractor

Schedule

• 10-hour shifts
• 8-hour shifts
• Monday to Friday
• Night shifts as needed
• Weekend shifts as needed
