Key Responsibilities
- Pick up and deliver packages or documents to clients and businesses within assigned timeframes
- Use your personal vehicle to complete deliveries (unless otherwise specified)
- Follow delivery instructions and routes, using a GPS or maps
- Obtain necessary signatures and maintain delivery records
- Communicate promptly with dispatchers or clients regarding delivery status
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations
- Handle packages with care to avoid damage or loss
- Manage your own taxes, expenses, and work schedule as an independent contractor
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Reliable vehicle (car, van, or bike, depending on delivery type)
- Smartphone with GPS/navigation capability
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Able to lift and carry packages (weight may vary by job)
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be 18 years or older (age may vary by employer)
Compensation
- Payment is typically per delivery, per hour, or per mile—depending on agreement.
- Couriers are responsible for their own fuel, insurance, maintenance, and taxes.
Days
- Monday- Friday 5:30 pm or later
- Saturday and Sunday
