Inbound Receiver (2nd Shift, W09)

Job Purpose

The objective of the General Labor position is to pick products using RF scanner.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Affords Warehouse Manager to ensure efficient operation of the warehouse.
• Utilizes RF Scanner, manual product picking QC, wrapping, staging and labeling.
• Learns and utilizes computers and handheld RF equipment.
• Lifts and unloads RJW truck / trailers safely and efficiently using proper procedures, including outside carriers equipment.
• Flexible to work 10 to 12 hours shifts when necessary and not afraid of heights.
• Picks and moves stock from 1 lb. to 50 lbs. multiple times.
• Safeguards all shipments are correctly staged and loaded properly.
• Maintains warehouse area with orderly stacking and good housekeeping.
• Processes outbound cross-dock freight as necessary.
• Oversees storing stock properly in the warehouse and moving product into the storage racks.
• Records and verifies the accuracy of the shipments against the paperwork for incoming and outgoing shipments / deliveries.
• Ensures all documentation and paperwork is properly completed.
• Follows all OSHA regulations, RJW safety policies, and procedures.
• Handles all customer products properly and orderly.
• Checks deliveries for poor packing, general condition of materials, and free of damage.
• Alerts Warehouse Supervisor of any problems, taking pictures if necessary.
• Reports all accidents / incidents, to employee, damage of stock, or building damage to the Shift Supervisor immediately.
• Spotting of trailers to maintain efficient yard organization and flow of equipment for the day.
• Maintains access to dock doors both inside and outside the facility keeping them free of debris or snow.
• Performs other tasks as assigned by manager/supervisor.

Additional Responsibilities

• Possesses a sense of urgency, accountability, and be able to work with limited supervision.
• General understanding of computers and handheld RF equipment.
• Must be able to read, write, and understand English.
• Attention to detail and quality a must.
• Good communication, clear and concise, problem resolution, and people skills.
• Flexibility in working overtime when needed, and supplying coverage to other shifts.
• PC skills helpful.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse.

Qualifications

• 3-6 months of General Labor experience in a warehouse using a RF scanner required.
• Good stable work record.
• Language Skills Sets Must be able to communicate, read, write, and speak English.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.
• Mental Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to compute rates, ratios, percentages and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
• Reasoning Ability Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Ability to determine "root cause" of problem and determine corrective action.
• Physical Demands Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to activate phone systems utilizing keyboards and buttons.
• Must be articulate and comfortable speaking in front of others.
• Regularly works in an indoor/office environment and required to sit and/or use repetitive hand motion.
• Frequently required to talk, hear, bend over, squat, reach, push, pull, stand and walk.
• Must be able to work in excess of continuous 8 hours when required.
• Must be able to work under stressful situations, have good cognitive skills, maintain work accuracy, and the ability to concentrate on more than one task at a time.
• Must have the ability to read and discern visual images on a variety of media with 20/20 corrected vision.
• Must be able to speak and communicate clearly over telephones.
• Must be in sound physical health as determined by a certified licensed physician with no evidence of the use of controlled substances.
