In-School Suspension Coordinator 2026/2027

About the role

The In-School Suspension Coordinator will support students who have been removed from the classroom due to disciplinary issues.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies to address student behavior and improve academic performance
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and community members to provide comprehensive support to students
• Assess and document student progress and adjust interventions as necessary
• Ensure compliance with state and federal laws related to student discipline

Requirements

• Must be a PA certified teacher
• Submit cover letter, resume, mandatory introductory video, Standard PA Teaching Application, 3 reference letters, certification, transcripts, Act 34, Act 114 and Act 151 to JOBS@ELSD.ORG by September 3rd

Qualifications

• Experience working with at-risk students
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Skills

• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Knowledge of Pennsylvania education laws and regulations
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
