About the role

This role is part of the In Room Dining Team at Thompson Palm Springs, a lifestyle hotel located in Palm Canyon Drive, Palm Springs. The hotel offers 168 bungalow-inspired guest rooms and 8,000 square feet of indoor meeting space.

Responsibilities

• Stock, set-up, and deliver all room service orders and property amenities to guest rooms
• Retrieve trays from the guest rooms to maintain a neat and sanitary appearance
• Be knowledgeable of all services provided within the hotel and all menu items
• Communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen
• Ensure correct posting in POS system for communication to the service and kitchen department

Qualifications

• Previous experience working at a hotel/resort preferred
• A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
• Refined verbal communication skills
• Must have physical stamina to lift moderate amounts of weight

Pay

The budgeted rate for this role is $16.90 per hour. This is the annual hourly rate for this position that Thompson Palm Springs reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual hourly rates will be based on a number of factors including experience, and education.

This is a non-exempt (hourly) role.
