In-Process Inspector

About the role
Monitor and inspect circuit board assemblies manufactured in the SMT department utilizing Automatic Optical (AOI) and/or X-ray (5DX) equipment to ensure product quality and reliability. This is an ITAR facility and applicant must be a US Citizen or a lawful permanent resident.
Responsibilities
- Monitor SMT product at defined station(s) utilizing AOI or 5DX
- Identify components including part numbers, values, package size/shape, placement and solderability
- Report findings to appropriate personnel, and record findings on applicable documentation
- Collaborate with SMT Machine Operator on concerns with components and technical support staff for immediate results
- Perform other responsibilities as needed
Requirements
- Experience utilizing AOI and/or 5DX equipment
- Working knowledge of IPC workmanship guidelines
- Must be available for overtime as needed
- Solder certified and experience in electronics or contract manufacturing preferred
- Experience in electronics or contract manufacturing and knowledge of IPC workmanship guidelines preferred
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, and able to handle multiple tasks at once
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination necessary
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to sit, stand and bend for long periods of time
