In-Purpose Inspector

Monitor and inspect circuit board assemblies manufactured in the SMT department utilizing Automatic Optical (AOI) and/or X-ray (5DX) equipment to ensure product quality and reliability.

• Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail while monitoring SMT products at defined stations using AOI or 5DX equipment.
• Identify components including part numbers, values, package size/shape, placement, and solderability.
• Report findings to appropriate personnel and document findings on applicable documentation.
• Handle multiple tasks simultaneously and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Collaborate with SMT Machine Operators on component issues and seek technical support from staff as needed.
• Ensure compliance with IPC workmanship guidelines and maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications:

• Experience utilizing AOI and/or 5DX equipment.
• Working knowledge of IPC workmanship guidelines.
• Availability for overtime as needed.
• Solder certification and experience in electronics or contract manufacturing preferred.
• Experience in electronics or contract manufacturing and knowledge of IPC workmanship guidelines preferred.

Education and Experience:

• Must be a US Citizen or a lawful permanent resident due to the nature of the facility.
