In-Purpose Inspector

Monitor and inspect circuit board assemblies manufactured in the SMT department utilizing Automatic Optical (AOI) and/or X-ray (5DX) equipment to ensure product quality and reliability.

• Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail during inspections.
• Identify components including part numbers, values, package size/shape, placement and solderability.
• Report findings to appropriate personnel and document findings on applicable documentation.
• Collaborate with SMT Machine Operators on concerns with components and seek technical support when necessary.
• Perform other responsibilities as needed.

Essential Skills: - Excellent written and oral communication skills. - Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. - Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination. - Strong attention to detail. - Ability to sit, stand, and bend for long periods of time.

Education and Experience: - Experience utilizing AOI and/or 5DX equipment. - Working knowledge of IPC workmanship guidelines. - Must be available for overtime as needed. - Solder certified and experience in electronics or contract manufacturing preferred. - Experience in electronics or contract manufacturing and knowledge of IPC workmanship guidelines preferred.
