In - Plant Inspector PT
Responsibilities
- Provide quality assurance services at various transit vehicle manufacturers and maintain accurate inspection records of each vehicle.
- Communicate progress of construction and inspection to client(s).
- Ensure manufactured buses conform to client's technical specifications, industry standards, and manufacturer's quality standards.
- Ensure each bus is built to the highest level of reliability and maintainability.
- Represent client and client's best interest while on-site during the manufacturing process.
- Ensure each bus is as free of defects as possible when delivered to client.
- Provide, at a minimum, weekly written reports to Customer detailing inspection activities, status of bus production, photos, and additional documentation as appropriate.
- Demonstrate and encourage a "Safety First" lifestyle.
- Responsible for other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent verbal, interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Problem solving and analytical skills.
- Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable.
Physical Requirements
- Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day).
- Frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces.
- Push and pull objects up to 50 pounds, occasionally throughout the workday.
- Lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance.
- Occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level.
- Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job.
- Tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise.
