Senior Salesforce Developer Location: Indianapolis Employment Type: Contract, 12 months Work Arrangement: Hybrid Pay Range: $65-70 per hour About The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Senior Salesforce Developer to support and enhance a large-scale Salesforce platform used across statewide public health programs. This individual will play a critical role in maintaining platform stability, leading technical initiatives, modernizing business processes, and building scalable solutions that support mission-critical public sector operations. This is an excellent opportunity for a Salesforce professional who enjoys a mix of development, architecture, integrations, platform strategy, security, and production support within a highly regulated enterprise environment. What You'll Do Design, develop, and enhance Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, and custom configurations.Support enterprise Salesforce applications, troubleshoot production issues, and perform root-cause analysis.Lead technical design discussions and translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.Develop and maintain secure integrations with external systems using APIs and middleware technologies such as MuleSoft.Manage deployments and release processes across multiple Salesforce environments using CI/CD methodologies.Monitor platform performance, API utilization, integrations, system health, and application stability.Implement Salesforce security best practices including MFA, Platform Encryption, Event Monitoring, and role-based access controls.Create technical documentation, architecture diagrams, deployment guides, and operational procedures.Mentor administrators, developers, and internal support teams to promote long-term platform sustainability.Participate in platform modernization, technical debt reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives. Required Qualifications 7+ years of Salesforce development experience in enterprise environments.Strong hands-on experience with:Apex DevelopmentLightning Web Components (LWC)Salesforce FlowsSOQL/SOSLSalesforce Security ModelExperience supporting and troubleshooting production Salesforce environments.Experience designing and supporting REST and SOAP API integrations.Experience with source control systems such as Git and CI/CD deployment pipelines.Strong understanding of Salesforce governor limits, performance optimization, and platform best practices.Experience creating technical documentation and conducting code reviews. Preferred Qualifications Experience with MuleSoft or similar integration platforms.Experience with Salesforce Experience Cloud.Salesforce Platform Developer I and/or Platform Developer II certifications.Experience working within government, healthcare, public sector, or highly regulated environments.Experience implementing Salesforce compliance and security controls.Exposure to disaster recovery, backup strategies, and enterprise monitoring solutions. #INDPRO
