In-Home Support Specialist

Serving some of the most vulnerable people in our community, Wellspring supports adults in building healthy and hopeful lives through behavioral health, supportive housing, and employment services. We believe recovery is possible for all people with psychiatric disabilities and our recovery-oriented programming incorporates person-centered care and utilizes a multi-disciplinary approach.

About the role

The In-Home Support Specialist works one-on-one with adults to build the practical skills, confidence, and stability needed to live more independently in their homes and communities. This hands-on role helps clients put their individualized treatment plans into action through skills training, cueing, supervision, medication support, therapeutic behavioral interventions, connection to community resources, emotion regulation, crisis coping, and development of healthy interpersonal skills.

Requirements

  • At least one (1) year of experience working with individuals who receive services for treatment of a mental health disorder or co-occurring disorder
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Valid, active driver’s license in good standing
  • Access to a personal, registered, and insured vehicle to transport clients and travel between client locations and related appointments in the greater Louisville area
  • Clearance of state and federal background checks, multiple abuse/sex offender registries, and exclusion lists prior to employment
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening and participation in an annual, random drug-testing program

$15 - $17 per hour
