About the role

Visiting Angels of Longview is hiring an In Home Personal Aide for clients in East Texas communities including Carthage, DeBerry, Tatum, Tenaha, Beckville, and more.

Responsibilities

• Helping clients with personal care and hygiene
• Managing light housekeeping
• Encouraging clients to meet their exercise and fitness goals
• Prompting clients to take their prescription medications
• Helping clients with shopping and grocery management
• Planning and preparing meals in collaboration with clients
• Assisting clients with mobility and ambulation

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Excellent time-management skills
• Reliable transportation for client visits
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Familiarity with basic housekeeping and cooking tasks
• Pass a background check and drug screen
• Training/knowledge in First Aid and emergency response
• A heart for vulnerable people seeking meaningful companionship
• Willingness to comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards
