Summary of Position
Ensures highest quality of product through inspection and repair in compliance with product handling and customer service standards in a safe, accurate, and efficient manner.
Essential Duties
- Inspect, evaluate, and repair of merchandise.
- Practice safe and secure material handling methods in accordance with product handling standards.
- Report errors found on documents to supervisor.
- Complete all documentation, including digital photos, neatly and accurately.
- Maintain accurate inventory of customer parts.
- Operate manual and mechanical equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Required Skills And Abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication, and listening skills.
- Basic reading and comprehension skills.
- Able to complete paperwork in an accurate, neat and efficient manner.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Outstanding customer service skills.
- Knowledge of GERS system preferred.
Education And Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Combination of education and experience.
- Mastery of wood, fabric and leather upholstery repair.
- Certified in bedding inspection in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.
Physical Demands
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and co-workers using telephone.
- Ability to bend, stoop, reach, stand, push, pull and lift cartons weighing approximately 50 - 100+ lbs. repetitively.
- Ability to use vision to read documents and computer screen.
- Ability to use hands to type information into computer.
Supervisor Responsibilities
This position does not supervise others.
