In-Home Certified Nursing Assistant - CNA

About the role

Visiting Angels of Lufkin is hiring an In-Home Certified Nursing Assistant – CNA to support clients throughout Deep East Texas, including Crockett, Lufkin, Nacogdoches, Berea, Pennington, Groveton, and surrounding areas. Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
• Provide light housekeeping support
• Encourage clients to meet exercise and fitness goals
• Prompt clients to take prescription medications on schedule
• Assist with grocery shopping and putting away groceries
• Plan and prepare meals in collaboration with clients based on their abilities
• Assist clients with mobility and ambulation, including transportation to appointments and walks
• Act quickly and report any health changes or unusual circumstances in medical emergencies

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Excellent time-management skills
• Reliable transportation to client visits
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Familiarity with basic housekeeping and cooking tasks
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
• Training or knowledge in First Aid and emergency response
• Compassion for vulnerable individuals seeking meaningful companionship
• Willingness to comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards
