In-Home Caregiver (HHA/CNA/GNA/DSP)
About the Role
As a Senior Helpers Caregiver, you will provide one-on-one care that allows seniors to live safely and comfortably in their own homes in Waldorf, La Plata, Clinton, Ft. Washington, Brandywine, Accokeek, Oxon Hill, Temple Hills, Suitland, District Heights, White Plains, and surrounding areas. You’ll build real relationships with your clients — becoming someone they trust and look forward to seeing.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility support)
- Providing companionship and emotional support
- Medication reminders
- Meal preparation
- Light housekeeping and laundry
- Transportation to appointments and errands (as needed)
- Observing and reporting changes in condition
- Following individualized care plans
- Maintaining accurate documentation and professional communication
Requirements
- Active Maryland CNA, GNA, or HHA certification (required)
- At least 1 year of caregiving experience
- Ability to provide two professional references
- Current CPR certification
- Negative TB test
- Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation
- Legal authorization to work in the United States (with original documentation)
- Professional, compassionate, and reliable attitude

Pay
Core base pay: $16.00-$19.00/hour
Schedule
Caregivers can expect to work between 8-40 hours per week, with availability on weekends and holidays required.
