CNA / In-Home Caregiver

About the Role

As a Senior Helpers of Kanawha Valley Caregiver, you provide one-on-one personal care to help clients remain safe and independent in their home. We match your expertise to the seniors you’ll care for. This role is ideal for compassionate individuals who enjoy helping others and seek professional growth within a supportive company.

Responsibilities

• Provide a helping hand and assist clients with daily activities such as walking, dressing, and personal care
• Engage in conversations and participate in clients’ favorite hobbies (e.g., scrapbooking, gardening, games)
• Prepare meals for clients
• Report completed activities and provide updates on clients’ physical condition, mental capacity, and behavior

Qualifications

• No prior experience required—paid orientation and ongoing training provided
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must pass a full employment background check
• Passion for helping others and strong customer service skills
• Desire to make a difference in your community

Preferred qualifications:

• Valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance
• High school diploma or GED
• Experience as a Personal Care Assistant or Caregiver/Home Health Aide (in homes or facilities)

Benefits eligibility is based on position status, hours worked, and length of employment.

Pay

$15–$16 per hour (based on experience)
