About the role

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support to clients in their homes. Empathy Hands Home Care serves the Pomona area and is looking for reliable, compassionate, and qualified caregivers.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
• Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
• Maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping tasks.
• Support clients with mobility assistance, including lifting when necessary.
• Medication reminders and monitoring health conditions.
• Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to appropriate personnel.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred, especially in outpatient, geriatrics, or in-home care settings.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to teach clients about their care plans effectively.
• Patient, empathetic, and possess excellent problem-solving skills.
• Certification in CPR/First Aid is desirable but not mandatory.
• Willing to work on Weekends.

Skills

• Experience in patient care or senior care is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of home community care practices and working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
• Ability to perform light cleaning duties as part of maintaining a safe environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and this family.
• Compassionate nature combined with patience and understanding.
• Ability to transfer the client safely when needed, adhering to proper lifting or transfer techniques.
• Familiarity with meal preparation that meets nutritional needs.

Pay

$21.50 to $23.50 per hour

Schedule

12 pm to 8 pm Sundays through Saturdays every other weekend
Mondays through Fridays from 9 am to 3 pm
