In-Home Caregiver

About the role

Visiting Angels Columbus West is hiring in-home caregivers in Columbus, Ohio. If you love helping people and want a job that makes a real difference, we want to meet you. Walk-ins welcome at our Columbus office. We care for seniors in their own homes across Clintonville, Upper Arlington, Grandview Heights, Bexley, Short North, Northland, Eastland, Downtown Columbus, Marysville, Plain City, and surrounding Columbus neighborhoods.

Pay

• $15-$17 per hour base rate, based on skill level
• Extra hourly pay for weekends, holidays, short shifts, and fill-in shifts
• Paid every Friday by direct deposit

Schedule

• We build a schedule around your life, not the other way around!
• Weekday morning shifts open right now, usually 7am to 1pm
• Evening and weekend shifts are also available
• We match you with clients near your home so your drive stays short and your week stays steady
• Full-time and part-time caregiver positions available

What a home caregiver does

As a caregiver with Visiting Angels, you visit seniors in their homes and help them with daily life. That could include things like getting dressed, bathing, making meals, light housekeeping, and simply being there for company. You work one-on-one with the same clients each week, so you get to build real relationships.

What we are looking for in a caregiver

• A valid Ohio driver's license and reliable transportation
• A caring and dependable personality
• Some experience helping others, whether at a job or caring for a family member
• A smartphone for your schedule and daily visit notes
• Dementia or Alzheimer's experience is a bonus, not a requirement
