In-Home Caregiver

About the role

REM Community Services, a part of the Sevita family, provides community‑based services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The position supports individuals 1:1, helping them grow, learn, and live well while building meaningful relationships.

Responsibilities

• Provide one‑on‑one support to individuals, assisting with personal hygiene and daily activities.
• Support participants with behavioral challenges and other complex needs.
• Help participants achieve developmental goals such as budgeting, exercise, and nutrition.
• Encourage community involvement and participation in favorite activities.
• Develop real, meaningful relationships with the individuals you serve.
• Take initiative to integrate participants into community settings.

Requirements

• Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination (preferred).
• Valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance.
• Ability to work without providing personal care, medication administration, or lifting/transferring.

Pay

$18 per hour (part‑time).

Schedule

• Part‑time hours, variable during the week, mostly days.
• Flexible schedule with no overnights; occasional weekends.
• No holidays.
