In-Home Caregiver

About the role

Provide one-on-one support to adults living independently, with family, or on their own, to help them succeed in their home environment and participate fully in community life.

Responsibilities

• Deliver personalized assistance based on individual plans, including socialization, health maintenance, medication support, daily living activities, transportation, and community integration.
• Maintain accurate records, ensure safety, manage assets, and foster professional relationships with individuals, families, and case managers.
• Support medical appointments, administer or support medication management, monitor health, and assist with meal preparation, ensuring adherence to dietary needs and safety protocols.
• Attend training, work scheduled hours reliably, collaborate with team members, and perform minor maintenance or housekeeping tasks.
• Must comply with all safety, health, and legal standards, including background checks and drug testing where applicable.

Requirements

• Ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, maintain safety standards, and participate in safety drills.
• Ability to assist with mobility and environmental safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Six months of human services experience desirable.
• Must be 18+.
• Possess a valid driver’s license.
• Have working knowledge of computers.
• Certification and training as required by state law must be completed.
