About the role
New Hope In-Home Caregiver
New Hope is seeking to hire full-time and part-time caregivers to provide reliable and compassionate in-home non-medical care for their clients.
Responsibilities
- Assist with basic everyday needs (including, but not limited to, cooking, cleaning, transportation, and companionship)
- Provide home care and assistance to clients
- Aid in personal care tasks such as meal planning and preparation
- Perform light housekeeping duties, including laundry, cleaning, and organizing
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Accompany clients to appointments or social outings
- Avoid medical tasks unless specifically trained and qualified
Requirements
- Must have at least 1 (ONE) year of experience in caregiving (family experience ok)
- Pass a background check
- Valid Driver's license or state ID
- Excellent communication skills, flexibility, showing compassion, and being reliable
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a caregiver or in a related field is required (family experience ok)
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients and their families
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Ability to handle emergencies calmly and efficiently
Skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of household chores and care routines
- Basic computer skills for scheduling and record-keeping
