In Home Caregiver

About the role

New Hope is seeking to hire full-time and part-time caregivers to provide reliable, compassionate, in-home non-medical care to their clients. The primary goal is to prevent institutionalization and allow clients to maintain independence.

Responsibilities

• Assist with basic everyday needs such as cooking, cleaning, transportation, and companionship
• Provide in-home care and assistance to clients
• Aid with personal care tasks
• Help with meal planning and preparation
• Perform light housekeeping duties, including laundry, cleaning, and organizing
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
• Accompany clients to appointments or social outings
• Aid with medication reminders

Requirements

• Pass drug tests and background checks
• Valid Drivers license or state ID
• Great communication skills, flexibility, compassion, and reliability

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a caregiver or in a related field is preferred but not required
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients and their families
• Caregiver must have a compassionate and patient demeanor
• Must be able to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently
