Compassionate Friends Homecare LLC is a veteran-owned company dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate homecare services to veterans. The role involves assisting veterans with various daily activities, ensuring their comfort and independence in their homes.
Responsibilities
- Tend to clients’ social and emotional needs by joining them in activities and providing companionship
- Support mobility (help with walking, transfers or use of mobility aids)
- Take clients to their medical appointments or personal errands
- Provide medication reminders
- Prepare meals, do laundry and perform light housework
- Aid with daily living tasks such as dressing, toileting, bathing, grooming, and eating
- Identify and address safety issues in the home or facility
- Keep accurate records of care provided
Requirements
The ideal candidate should be capable, motivated, and willing to learn and grow. They must be able to:
- Tend to clients’ social and emotional needs
- Support mobility
- Take clients to medical appointments or personal errands
- Provide medication reminders
- Prepare meals, do laundry, and perform light housework
- Aid with daily living tasks
- Identify and address safety issues
- Keep accurate records of care provided
Qualifications
Essential qualifications include:
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic computer skills
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (if applicable)
Skills
