Compassionate Friends Homecare LLC is a veteran-owned company dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate homecare services to veterans. Our mission is to ensure that veterans maintain the quality of life they have earned through their service.

Responsibilities

• Tend to clients’ social and emotional needs by joining them in activities and providing companionship
• Support mobility (help with walking, transfers or use of mobility aids)
• Take clients to their medical appointments or personal errands
• Provide medication reminders
• Prepare meals, do laundry and perform light housework
• Aid with daily living tasks such as dressing, toileting, bathing, grooming, and eating
• Identify and address safety issues in the home or facility
• Keep accurate records of care provided

Requirements

The ideal candidate should be capable, motivated, and willing to learn and grow as the position evolves. They must be able to:

• Tend to clients’ social and emotional needs by joining them in activities and providing companionship
• Support mobility (help with walking, transfers or use of mobility aids)
• Take clients to their medical appointments or personal errands
• Provide medication reminders
• Prepare meals, do laundry and perform light housework
• Aid with daily living tasks such as dressing, toileting, bathing, grooming, and eating
• Identify and address safety issues in the home or facility
• Keep accurate records of care provided

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, applicants must:

• Have a valid driver's license
• Be able to pass a background check
• Be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation

Skills

While not exhaustive, the following skills are preferred:

• Experience working with veterans
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
• Basic computer skills

Pay

Compensation for this position is $20 per hour.

Schedule

The ideal candidate will be available to work Monday through Friday from 4 PM to 7 PM.
