In-Home Caregiver

Compassionate Friends Homecare LLC is a veteran-owned company dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate homecare services to veterans. This role involves assisting veterans with various daily activities, supporting their social and emotional needs, and performing essential household tasks.

Responsibilities

• Tend to clients’ social and emotional needs by joining them in activities and providing companionship
• Support mobility (help with walking, transfers, or use of mobility aids)
• Take clients to their medical appointments or personal errands
• Provide medication reminders
• Prepare meals, do laundry, and perform light housework
• Aid with daily living tasks such as dressing, toileting, bathing, grooming, and eating
• Identify and address safety issues in the home or facility
• Keep accurate records of care provided

Requirements

The ideal candidate should be capable, motivated, and willing to learn and grow in this evolving role. Essential skills include:

• Ability to assist with activities of daily living
• Willingness to provide companionship and support
• Knowledge of basic first aid and emergency procedures
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Passion for serving veterans and their families

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Current CPR certification
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs
• Previous experience in home healthcare or caregiving preferred

Pay

Compensation for this role is commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Schedule

The In-Home Caregiver will work Fridays and Saturdays from 10am-1pm.
