Compassionate Friends Homecare LLC is a veteran-owned company dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate homecare services to veterans. Our mission is to ensure that veterans can maintain the quality of life they have earned through their service.

Responsibilities

• Tend to clients’ social and emotional needs by joining them in activities and providing companionship
• Support mobility (help with walking, transfers or use of mobility aids)
• Take clients to their medical appointments or personal errands
• Provide medication reminders
• Prepare meals, do laundry and perform light housework
• Aid with daily living tasks such as dressing, toileting, bathing, grooming, and eating
• Identify and address safety issues in the home or facility
• Keep accurate records of care provided

Requirements

The ideal candidate should be capable, motivated, and willing to learn and grow. They must be able to:

• Tend to clients’ social and emotional needs by joining them in activities and providing companionship
• Support mobility (help with walking, transfers or use of mobility aids)
• Take clients to their medical appointments or personal errands
• Provide medication reminders
• Prepare meals, do laundry and perform light housework

Qualifications

Essential qualifications include:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or chronic illnesses preferred
• Ability to pass a background check

Skills

Desired skills include:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of first aid and CPR
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends

Pay

$25-$30 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications

Schedule

Wednesday through Saturday, 9am-4:30pm
