JOB REQUIREMENTS

Community Horizons is assisting a young lady in the Stevens Point area in finding a compassionate Helping Hands Caregiver to join her self-directed support team. She’s looking for someone kind, patient, and dependable who can provide gentle assistance and help her maintain independence at home. Hours are Monday through Thursday from 4pm-8:30pm and Saturday mornings. The wage is $16.32/hour.

• Provide support with daily routines and personal care
• Absorb and assist with mobility and safety
• Offer companionship, conversation, and be comfortable with severe disabilities
• Follow her established routines to ensure comfort and consistency
• Be friendly, respectful, and reliable
• Be comfortable working one-on-one in a private home
• Willing to learn her preferences and support style
• Experience in caregiving is helpful but not required, training is provided
• Willing to be outside, take walks, and be energetic

OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

This position requires more of an energetic person, loves being outdoors, and enjoys encouraging people.
