About the role
At Avenues Home Care, our caregivers are our front line and most common representative. As an In Home Caregiver, you will be caring for the elderly, vulnerable, disabled and most often those that cannot care for themselves. You are required to keep the client’s needs above all else and perform the following duties with the utmost care. Our office provides caregivers for the local area including Brentwood, Nashville, Murfreesboro, and many others. Avenues Home Care is a leading non-medical homecare company serving citizens in Middle Tennessee. We offer a new approach to care by focusing on quality, reliability and trust. Responsibilities
- Assist the client with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as specified in the client’s plan of care created during intake (bathing, dressing, grooming, other personal hygiene, toileting, transferring, eating, continence care).
- Assist with medication assistance, housekeeping services, laundry, meal preparation, feeding, shopping, transportation to and from appointments, and companionship.
- Perform other household tasks as specified in the client’s plan of care.
- Report daily activity to your supervisor through the agency management system and daily activity logs; use other communication avenues as needed (phone, email, agency app, face‑to‑face).
- Practice safety in all activities concerning clients.
- Lift or push up to 50 pounds as required.
- Demonstrate honesty, accountability, and integrity.
