In Home Care Aide

About the Role

Visiting Nurse Association of SEMO is seeking compassionate, hardworking In-Home Caregivers or CNAs to join their team and grow within the company. This role is ideal for individuals with a heart for caregiving and experience in elderly care.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with personal care and mobility
• Basic food preparation
• Light housekeeping
• Running errands
• Providing companionship while family members are away

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age
• Possess a valid driver’s license and have use of an insured automobile
• Pass all background checks
• Pass a drug test
• Able to read, write, perform simple mathematics, and follow directions
• Excellent communication and listening skills
• Must be physically and mentally able to handle the demands of caregiving
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
• Willing to work every other weekend and holidays, if needed
• Must have a working cell phone with voicemail set up

Training

Paid training consists of 1 day of classroom training and 2 days of on-the-job (OJT) in your area with a VNA trainer. Additional training is offered if needed.
