About the Role
Syngenta’s Logistics Team is seeking an Imports Exports Logistics Specialist in Greensboro, NC. This role will support compliant, efficient, and reliable cross-border logistics operations. You will work closely with internal teams and external service providers to manage import and export activities, maintain accurate trade data, and drive continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate import and export activities with internal stakeholders, customs brokers, 4PL providers, carriers, and other external partners.
- Monitor logistics performance and report key performance indicators (KPIs), identifying risks, trends, and improvement opportunities.
- Support import and export forecasting to enable effective planning and execution.
- Maintain accurate and timely import/export data in SAP, GT Nexus, Integration Point, and other relevant systems.
- Help ensure efficient, compliant, and cost-effective movement of imported and exported products.
- Provide guidance and training to relevant personnel on import/export processes, documentation, and compliance requirements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, standard operating procedures, and logistics projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
- Minimum of three years of experience in logistics, import/export operations, customs brokerage, or international trade.
- Working knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office applications; experience with GT Nexus and Integration Point is preferred.
- Experience managing or coordinating external logistics service providers, such as customs brokers and 4PL partners.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with close attention to detail.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
- Ability to manage competing priorities, work effectively under pressure, and adapt to changing business needs.
