Import Specialist – Customs Brokerage (Afternoon Shift)

Job Description

  • Overseeing import shipments from arrival through customs clearance
  • Preparing and submitting customs entries in accordance with regulatory requirements
  • Reviewing documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance
  • Coinciding with internal teams, customers, and government agencies to resolve issues
  • Maintaining compliance with all applicable regulations and internal standards while identifying opportunities to improve processes and operational efficiency

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in customs brokerage, freight forwarding, or international logistics
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations, including classification, valuation, and country of origin requirements
  • Experience reviewing and processing import documentation across air, ocean, and/or ground shipments
  • Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) preferred
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies and resolve issues efficiently
  • Proven ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills when working with customers, internal teams, and government agencies
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and operational systems
