Responsibilities
- Compliance & Process Improvement: Ensure adherence to international/domestic shipping regulations.
- Classifications and Special Programs: Own HS classifications and special tariff recover programs such as duty drawbacks.
- Identifying and Implementing Process Improvements.
- Order Fulfillment: Responsible for NA fulfillment process and achieve OTD target.
- Logistics & 3PL Management: Coordinate and manage outbound logistics.
- Transaction Accuracy: Perform timely and accurate ERP system transactions.
- Project Leadership: Lead projects and support operational logistics receiving/shipping as needed.
- Closing: Perform invoice validation and freight accruals at month end.
- Process: Draft, Maintain and update process documents as needed.
- Management: Lead, manage and elevate team performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or minimum 5+ Years of similar industry experience, with 3 years as a people manager.
- Customs broker’s license preferred or similar experience on import and export. In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in HTS classification, Tariffs, Duty Drawback and related programs. Understanding of ECCN and export compliance is a plus.
- Advanced Computer Literacy/Proficient with MS Office /G-Suite Knowledge required.
- Experience with Netsuite or similar ERP systems.
- International Shipping & Trade Compliance knowledge.
- Detail oriented and highly organized.
- Ability to lift heavy objects up to 50lbs
- Self-Starter with the Ability to work in a fast paced/dynamic environment.
- Ability to stand or walk for up to eight hours a day.
- Experience working and managing 3PL, Parcel, LTL and freight forwarders domestic and internationally.
- Ability to solve problems and communicate effectively with others.
- Ability to prioritize and complete tasks as assigned, with minimum supervision.
