About the role

The Implementation Support Specialist (ISS) is a field-based, remote role within the territory of California, Nevada, Arizona, and Colorado with 75% local travel. The ISS will be part of a dynamic field support service team responsible for driving the successful implementation and verification of Abbott Point of Care products within hospitals in assigned geographical regions. This role involves collaborating with lead IPMs, executing implementation activities, and engaging with key personnel to restructure customer processes for improved patient care.

Abbott Point of Care is a global leader in providing critical medical diagnostic and data management products for rapid blood analysis. The i-STAT System is an advanced, portable diagnostic tool delivering real-time, lab-quality results within minutes to accelerate patient-care decision-making. It offers the industry’s most comprehensive menu of tests in a single platform, including blood gases, electrolytes, chemistries, coagulation, hematology, glucose, and cardiac markers.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and execute Performance Verifications, End User Training, and Go Live Support within an implementation case.
  • Ensure all administrative tasks are completed promptly and accurately, including updating project notes, milestone dates in Summit, expense reporting, and other necessary items.
  • Understand customer needs, build relationships with key stakeholders, and articulate the benefits of point-of-care testing.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of key product attributes and conduct product demonstrations.
  • Manage multiple assignments across geographies with strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Provide solutions and contingency plans for implementation challenges.
  • Develop professional relationships and maintain appropriate behavior in customer interactions.
  • Work independently and as part of a team, motivated by personal and team success.
  • Convey information clearly and concisely, with strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.
  • Confidently present to upper management and key stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree—preferably in Medical Technology, Nursing, Respiratory Therapy, or a related field; or an Associate degree with relevant experience.
  • 3 to 4 years of experience in the field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM (Salesforce).
  • Willingness to travel 75% of the time, including overnight travel (eligible for a company car).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Emergency Departments, Free Standing Emergency Departments, and Urgent Care Centers.

Pay

The base pay for this position is $61,300.00 – $122,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.

Schedule

Field-based role with 75% local travel within California, Nevada, Arizona, and Colorado, including overnight travel.
