The Role

Great Gray is seeking an Implementation Solutions Associate to join their Implementation Solutions team, a key part of the broader Operations organization. The team manages the entire lifecycle of Great Gray’s Collective Investment Funds, from new strategy launches to fund conversions and transfers, subadvisor changes, and more.

The Implementation Solutions Associate will handle the administrative and operational tasks necessary to keep these fund lifecycle events on schedule. This role requires strong organizational skills, a keen interest in financial products, and a commitment to building expertise in retirement services operations.

Location

This position will be based in either Boston, MA or Wilmington, DE, with a current hybrid work model allowing for 4 days in the office and 1 day remote.

Responsibilities

  • Support the end-to-end administration of fund lifecycle events, including fund conversions, asset transfers, new fund launches, fee class additions, subadvisor changes, and fund closures.
  • Aid in coordinating the transition of retirement assets from external funds into Great Gray CITs, tracking movements, monitoring timelines, and addressing discrepancies or delays.
  • Maintain accuracy of fund data across internal systems and external data services, ensuring records reflect current structures and statuses.
  • Assist in preparing and reviewing governance materials, documenting required approvals, and organizing them for project advancement.
  • Support the creation, tracking, and filing of legal and operational documents, working under the guidance of senior consultants and legal team members.
  • Keep organized records of event timelines, deliverable checklists, and stakeholder action items for project tracking in systems like Jira.
  • Provide regular updates on assigned tasks within event tracking systems to ensure project status is current and visible to leadership.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with internal stakeholders across various teams, updating them on task status and upcoming needs.
  • Aid in identifying and escalating issues or risks affecting fund conversion timelines or data integrity, escalating to senior team members as needed.
  • Maintain document management and change management practices, ensuring compliance with team standards.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required; coursework or concentration in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field preferred.
  • 1–3 years of professional experience in financial services, operations, or a related field; strong internship experience in financial services will be considered.
  • Foundational knowledge of investment vehicles such as mutual funds, ETFs, CITs, or similar pooled structures, with a willingness to deepen expertise in the CIT and retirement services sector.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams accurately.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, capable of interacting professionally with colleagues across teams and levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with experience in tables, data organization, and basic formulas.
  • Ability to learn and navigate internal systems (e.g., project tracking tools, fund data platforms) with guidance and training.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, process-driven environment, prioritizing attention to detail and timely execution.
  • Curiosity about the retirement services industry and a drive to grow within a high-performing operations team.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset to contribute innovative ideas to the team.

Pay Range

Base Pay Range: $60,000 - $75,000
