Implementation Consultant - Payroll

About the Role

As an Implementation Consultant, you will focus on implementing clients who use our Payroll, HR, and Benefit services, as well as other Fourth products. You’ll work with emerging clients (500–10,000 worksite employees) that have multi-FEIN and multi-state setups, including both Professional Employer Organization (PEO) and Administrative Services Only (ASO) clients.

Responsibilities

  • Discover client business requirements and document your findings for client sign-off
  • Create a project plan and timelines working with the client and your project team
  • Configure the company, payroll, and HR components (client company setup, employee setup, payroll calendars, payroll taxes, security access, job title/position detail, PTO, general ledger) of the HCM solution based on the documented specifications
  • Load historical payroll and tax information as needed based on client type (PEO or HR+Payroll/ASO) and balance historical records to processed records for prior wage validation
  • Deliver administrator and manager training
  • Support client for the first successful 30 days after go-live
  • Participate in formal hand-off of “live” client
  • Complete implementation by the expected “Go Live” date
  • Provide expert support that makes our integrated solutions stand out in an increasingly competitive global marketplace
  • Use your project management expertise to help lead the workflow of the implementation team
  • Ensure a “perfect first payroll” to ensure a referenceable client
  • Serve as subject matter expert on PEO / HR+Payroll
  • Overcome client and internal obstacles to complete a timely implementation
  • Coordinate with other departments as necessary to obtain objectives
  • Participate in updating training and other events that help share product skills with other consultants and keep abreast of industry changes

Requirements

  • Experience with PEO and ASO-type implementation
  • Knowledge and experience with multi-state payroll processing and tax setup
  • Knowledge in GL exports and setup
  • Understanding of a variety of client personal time off plans
  • Experience processing payroll, setting up employees, adding deductions and direct deposit
  • Familiarity with multi-product integrations
  • Ability to prioritize between multiple deadlines
  • Capability to work independently
  • Proficient in delivering executive level communications
  • Experience with training clients to use software
  • Conflict resolution and de-escalation techniques

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with PrismHR
  • 3+ years implementing payroll or payroll software, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Measures of Success

  • Consistent, on-time completion of implementations by the expected “Go Live” date
  • Delivery of a “perfect first payroll” for each client, resulting in referenceable accounts
  • Successful client support through the first 30 days after go-live with minimal escalations
  • Positive outcomes from administrator/manager training and formal client hand-off
