Supports PCM's mission to deliver care and other services that enhance the quality of life of our clients. Works in one of our divisions: Home Care, Clinical Research, Impairments, or Catastrophic Care.
Responsibilities
- Licensed Physician (Medical Doctor)
- ABIME-certified or IAIME-certified
- Experience performing file reviews and impairment evaluations
- Experience using the AMA Guides to Impairment, 5th Edition
- Demonstrates strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Speaks, reads, writes, and comprehends English
- Follows established policies and processes for Impairment Evaluations
- Provides exceptional customer service to claimants
- Conducts Impairment Evaluations for claimants according to ABIME and EEOICPA standards
- Educates claimants about the availability of home health care services
- Reviews medical documentation and interviews claimants related to the DOL established and accepted conditions (illnesses)
- Utilizes the American Medical Association (AMA) Guides to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment (5th Edition) to assign an impairment percentage/rating and draft a summary report for submission to the DOL
- Reviews files, testing and medical records for the purpose in assisting clients with the submission process for adding new or consequential condition to their DOL white medical benefits card
Qualifications
- Licensed Physician (Medical Doctor)
- ABIME-certified or IAIME-certified
- Experience performing file reviews and impairment evaluations
- Experience using the AMA Guides to Impairment, 5th Edition
- Knowledge of the EEOICPA program and key stakeholders’ operating practices (e.g. DOL Resource Centers)

Pay
Up to 5% travel for speaking engagements or additional engagements determined by the Company. The typical base pay range for this role is USD $156,600 - $266,700 per year. Individual base pay depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience, skills and other market-based factors.
