Requirements
- Bilingual (perfect Spanish/English)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Barred in any US jurisdiction
- At least one year of previous asylum and litigation experience
- Highly organized and attentive to detail
- Familiar with legal software and willing to learn
- Solid skills and experience in handling both affirmative and defensive asylum cases
Major Responsibilities
- Court appearances before the Immigration Court (EOIR)
- Represent clients before U.S. Citizenship Immigration Services in naturalization and marriage interviews
- Draft legal memoranda
- Meet with clients in detention centers
- Independently handle and manage high-volume caseload
- Advises clients on legal matters
